Joe Colantonio mentioned AiOps as one of the trends for 2020 a few weeks ago and now Bhavani Ramasubbu explains how tester's role might look like in this movement. Interesting!

I've found some really interesting insights about testing on iOS in Dave Verwer's survey. For example, the results suggest that manual mobile testing is still more valued than automation!

How would you explain what "I test software" means? David Greenlees wondered and ended up writing a pretty comprehensive article on this matter. Well said!

Mirek Długosz wrote a fair review of the ISTQB document from December last year.

Another solid article about design patterns in test automation by Anton Angelov. This time, he shows how to use an adapter design pattern, including a lot of Selenium examples and even a walkthrough video.

Andy Knight came up with some solid rules for doing Gherkin right and I wish I read this when I first started with BDD. It would make my life much easier!

A great article by Dennis Martinez about why and how to mock API responses in TestCafe, including a lot of code examples. I used TestCafe in my previous job and would love to read this back then.

Joe Colantonio explores the why and the how of using functional tests for performance testing, going through a lot of tools and citing a handful of people experienced in the field.

I've recently come across this open-source load testing CLI tool and — after some research — I must say it's very actively developed and ultra-simple to use in contrast to many other tools I know!

Another week, another book! This time Pradeep Soundararajan focused on explaining software testing from a spiritual point of view. You can preview the table of contents at Google Books.
